COMMERCIAL GREEN BUILDING AND BUNGALOW

Updated: Jun 28

The site is located near Palghar-Boisar Road. It has a built-up area of 437.01 sqm. The client's requirement is to design a commercial office building of G+7 floors, featuring offices with individual toilets, pantries, and workspaces, while adhering to basic green building norms.

The green building norms include vertical louvers covering the entire facade of the building to facilitate cross ventilation throughout the structure. Additionally, a jali wall near the entrance will feature vertical gardening to enhance cooling and aesthetic appeal. The building will also have a green terrace roof equipped with solar panels for reduced energy consumption, along with native shrubs and plants. This terrace will provide a garden space for relaxation, complete with a central water fountain and pergola. The green terrace will help maintain comfortable indoor temperatures throughout the building.

SITE PLAN WITH INTERVENTION

TYPICAL GROUND TO SEVENTH FLOOR PLAN

INTERIOR LAYOUT - The individual office carpet area, totaling 337.5 sq.ft., comprises a cabin, workspace, toilet, and pantry. Vertical louvers ensure ample natural light and ventilation throughout the day.

BASEMENT AND TERRACE PLAN - The basement should accommodate 30 to 35 cars in stack parking. This green building features a terrace equipped with solar panels to reduce energy consumption, along with a garden planted with native shrubs and plants, complemented by a pergola. This innovative rooftop design enhances sustainability in the building's construction.

ELEVATION - The louvers and vertical gardening on the jali are the central focus of the building's facade. They enable the building to harness natural light and ventilation during the day. The vertical gardening further aids in regulating the building's temperature, ensuring a cooler interior environment.

ITERATION - The facade features long vertical windows, plantations, and jali walls designed to ensure cross ventilation and natural light throughout the day.

BUNGALOW PROJECTS

This is an ongoing bungalow project in Kelwa.

The client's requirement is to design a typical bungalow with a front yard, veranda, and 2 to 3 bedrooms on the ground floor, each with its individual toilets.

Additionally, there should be an open kitchen and a hall with a 'devghar', oriented according to Vastu principles, specifically facing northeast, and the kitchen positioned in the southeast.

Here are three layout iterations designed according to the client's requirements.
